Inhibition of nematodes by chitosan oligosaccharide

Recent years, chitosan oligosaccharide are showing a good performance on controlling nematode disease, the biological control measure could achieve such a good effect because chitosan oligosaccharides unique way to kill nematodes and their eggs same time, treats both the symptoms and the causes effective and could last a long period compared to the avermectin’s effects only to nematodes but no eggs. The following is chitosan oligosaccharide three main function principles:

1.Chitosan oligosaccharide could induce crops to produce chitin oligosaccharide enzymes which can break down and absorb chitosan oligosaccharide in nematodes and eggs shells, resulting in death of nematodes and eggs. Advance and regular using of chitosan oligosaccharide on crops could induce crops chitin oligosaccharide enzymes content on a high level of a long period, achieving the purpose of prevention nematodes.

2.After being applied into the soil, chitosan oligosaccharide can cultivate a large number of beneficial bacteria such as line-release bacteria in a short period of time, and these beneficial bacteria can secrete a large number of antibiotic substances and anti-enzymes (chitin oligosaccharide enzymes etc.), they could directly inhibit nematodes and eggs, and inhibit mold, stilettos, mold, sickle bacteria and other harmful bacteria the same time, achieving the goal of reducing death tree caused by harmful bacteria multiple infection rising by nematodes.
