Study on the effect of oligochitosan on the cold resistance of eggplant seedlings

Chitooligosaccharide has the characteristics of good water solubility, easy absorption, small molecular weight, etc. It has a significant role in activating the plant's self-defense system, inducing plant resistance to stress and regulating plant growth, and does not pollute the environment. It can be used as an efficient green pesticide and plant growth. Regulator application. Kuang Yinjin et al. studied the effect of oligochitosan on the cold resistance of eggplant seedlings under low temperature stress.

In the experiment, the chitosan oligosaccharide solution with the treatment concentration of 1/1500, 1/1000, 1/500 and 1/100 (w/v) was selected to spray the eggplant seedlings at the true leaf stage under low temperature stress. The dosage for each treatment was 500mL, and the control (CK2) was sprayed with the same amount of water. Treated twice every 24h. The treated seedlings were grown under natural conditions for 36 hours and then placed in a light culture (LRH250-G) with a light intensity of 3000 1x, exposure to light for 12 hours a day, and a day/night temperature of 15℃/10℃ (LRH250-G) for pretreatment for 2 days. Then placed in day/night temperature (5±1) ℃ low temperature stress for 3d. Seedlings grown at room temperature at 25°C were used as the low temperature control (CK1). Repeat 3 times for each treatment of 20 plants. At the end of the low temperature stress treatment, investigate the low temperature damage (plant wilting), then move to the outdoors to continue to grow for 5 days, and then investigate the survival rate. After the low temperature stress treatment for 3 days, three upper leaves of the plant were taken to determine the relevant physiological and biochemical indicators. Five plants were taken for each treatment, the leaves were cut and the samples were weighed, and the measurement was repeated three times. The results (see Tables 1 and 2) showed that: except for the concentration of 1/100, the seedlings sprayed with oligochitosan at other concentrations were treated with 5℃ low temperature stress for 3 days. Compared with the clear water control group, the low temperature injury rate was reduced. The survival rate after resuming growth increased; the relative conductivity and MDA content of leaves increased slightly, the soluble sugar and proline content increased; SOD and POD activity increased, and the decrease of CAT activity decreased. Therefore, the appropriate concentration of chitooligosaccharides treatment can enhance the cold resistance of eggplant seedlings, and the treatment with 1/1000 chitooligosaccharides has the most obvious cold resistance effect.
