Chitosan oligosaccharides and chitosan can reduce and prevent hyperlipidemia

At present, adults in China are generally diagnosed as hyperlipidemia if their fasting serum total cholesterol exceeds 5.72mMol/L and triglyceride is 1.7mMol/L. Hyperlipidemia is not harmful at the beginning, but when the blood lipid is too much, it tends to cause thick blood, deposit on the blood vessel walls, and form small plaques (known as atherosclerosis), these plaques clog the blood vessels and interrupt the blood. If this happens in the heart, it can lead to coronary heart disease, if it happens in the brain, it can lead to cerebral thrombosis (stroke), and if it happens in the lower extremities, it can lead to limb necrosis.
 
Chitosan oligosaccharides and chitosan reduce blood lipid through the following aspects:
 
First, bind with the bile acid, the bile acid out of the body.
 
Because cholesterol is mainly converted to bile acids in the liver. The excretion of bile acids causes the liver to convert cholesterol in the blood into bile acids, thus lowering cholesterol in the blood. Cholesterol in food must be absorbed in the gut under the action of bile acids in the body. Chito-oligosaccharides and chitosan can combine with bile acids to expel bile acids from the body. Cholesterol without bile acids exists, can not be converted into cholesterol ester will be discharged from the body, and blood lipid will be naturally reduced.
 
Second, combined with pancreatic lipase, reduce the activity of pancreatic lipase to decompose fat, hinder the absorption of cholesterol.
 
The digestion and absorption of fat requires the participation of pancreatic lipase. Without pancreatic lipase, fat cannot be digested and absorbed. Chito-oligosaccharides and chitosan can reduce the activity of pancreatic lipase to decompose fat, and promote the direct excretion of fat from the body, thus reducing blood lipid.
 
Third, wrap fat, fat directly out of the body.
 
Chitosan oligosaccharides and chitosan positively charged alkaline amino groups build a barrier around the negatively charged fat drops so that fat oil drops cannot be digested and absorbed by the body and are discharged from the body.
 
Fourth, hinder the absorption of cholesterol esters in food, directly reduce cholesterol content. Chitosan oligosaccharides and chitosan hinder the absorption of cholesterol esters in the gut and directly reduce the cholesterol content in the blood.
 
Chitosan dissolves in the acidic environment of the stomach to form colloids, and the colloidal solution combines with fat and cholesterol to form inclusions, which reduces the absorption of them by the small intestine, and is discharged with feces to play the role of lowering lipid and cholesterol.
 
Fifth, the higher the HDL content, the lower the blood cholesterol, the test results can be seen that chitosan significantly increased HDL, is beneficial to lower cholesterol, and then prevent cardiovascular diseases.
